0:40 While holding the tabs of each media holding plate on both sides,

0:48 move both media holding plates to the right and left sides of the platen respectively.

2:01 If the right and left edges of the roll media are uneven, rewind the media to align the edges before loading it.

How to use the Auto Take-up Reel?

0:01 Using the Auto Take-up Reel Unit

0:06 Press and hold the DOWN button to feed the media as far as the roll core holder.

0:37 Align the roll core holder with the right edge of the media.

0:51 Leaving approximately 10 to 20 cm in the center of the media,

0:55 cut off the left and right corners 25 cm or more from the corners.

1:06 Slide the holder in until part A is fully inserted.

1:11 Stop when part A is no longer visible.

1:21 Cut paper tape into a 60 cm strip, and paste it on the center of the media using adhesive tape.

1:32 Press and hold the UP button to rewind the media until the end of the paper tape becomes level with the pipe.

1:44 Take-up with the Printed Side Facing Out

1:49 Put the paper tape to the rear side of the roll core and paste the tape there with adhesive tape.

2:01 Flip the Auto switch toward you.

2:11 Press and hold the DOWN button, and

2:14 feed media until both ends of the media reaches the roll core and then it is wrapped once or twice around the roll core.

2:30 Move the guides until they slightly touch both edges of the media.

2:40 When using banners, attach three each counterweights on both ends of the tensioner.

2:46 Take-up with the Printed Side Facing In

2:51 Pass the paper tape behind the roll core and pull it out toward you, and then paste the tape there with adhesive tape.

1:04 Hold the wiper by the attachment point and remove it.

1:23 Dampen a clean-room wiper with ink cleaner,

1:33 wipe off any adhered ink, lint, and dust.

1:44 With the cleaning stick dampened with ink cleaner,

1:49 wipe off any adhered ink on the bottom of the wiper.

2:15 Wipe off with the cleaning stick dampened with ink cleaner.

2:37 Press down until you hear a click.

2:45 Cleaning the guide part of caps and removing lint

2:56 When lint or dust has adhered to the inside of the cap,

3:03 remove it using the tip of a cleaning stick or tweezers.

4:47 Grasp the cleaner as shown and lift it from the printer.

4:49 Turn the wiper cleaner upside down and check if any lint or dust adhered to the bottom surface.

4:56 Remove lint or dust if any using tweezers.

5:02 SC-S30600 Series Attach the wiper cleaner.

5:06 SC-S70600 Series/SC-S50600 Series Attach both of them.

5:11 Press down until you hear a click.

5:20 Press the [OK] button.

5:25 If a notice dialog appears with a beep during cleaning,

5:32 press the [OK] button and keep on cleaning.
